Mooring status for the end of 2005

This has been an excellent year for the mooring project. Since the acquisition of the new line a line replacement program commenced on an as required basis. To date the following moorings have been replaced with new lines:

• Both bow and stern moorings on the Wolfe. Only the stern mooring has the new POW buoy on.
• The Aloha's stern line
• The Comet
• The Marsh
• The Davie
• The Sheboygan

We have two new mooring lines ready to go for next year (thanks to Big Jim) but have not decided which sites require them as of yet.

It was not too dreadful a year for the buoys. The Comet's went adrift a couple of times, presumeably once from a boat strike and once from the shackle coming loose. We recovered one and lost one. We have two spares still available.

All lines are down as of now with buoys recovered.
