The Marine Museum
In an effort to once again rekindle a closer working relationship with the Marine Museum of the Great Lakes, it has been decided to see if POW can roll back the clock and relocate our meeting place back to their facilities. For some unkown reason POW started to hold meetings in other locations and a bit of wandering has ensued for the past few years. In order to build an identity and make it easier to attend meetings the executive has approached the Marine Museum to see if our regular meetings can once again be held on the premises. Stay tuned as we hope that the first meeting of the year will be able to take advantage of this.
The Limestone City Shipwreck Show
Well what can we say? The event of the year that was organized by Northern Tech Diver and GLUE turned out to be a huge success. There was a sellout crowd and a good time was had by all. The presenters were excellent and all presentations were based on the theme of presevation. A special note of thanks to Dr. Wilson West from the Ministry of Culture for his presentation on the new legislation as well as Phil Beaupry very entertaining presentation on the Empress of Ireland. Organized as a fund raiser for POW the event made enough money to not only donate over $400.00 dollars to POW but $200.00 to SOS as well. Excellent job guys. The show will be held again same place same time this year. Thanks to all those who came out and lent their support to this event.
